MPs often use the excuse that they don’t talk about electoral reform because it is not an issue they hear their constituents talking about. Help to change this by letting them know people do care.

Blog and Tweet online or write to printed publications
Let others know through the media of the arguments for electoral reform.

Spread the message to your friends and neighbours
Ask people you know if they have ever considered electoral reform and tell them of its benefits.

Become a speaker

If you are in an organisation which runs elections using first past the post, try and encourage the use of a more proportional system. You can request one of our speakers to come and give a talk.

If you are active within a party already then find out what the local party thinks of electoral reform and persuade them of its necessity or move it up the agenda.

Link up with other activists in your area
Share ideas and combine resources with people near you who are also pushing for electoral reform.
